Digital marketing & PR for cloud computing startup

Project: When we worked with Grove Group in 2011  and 2012, they were a Google Enterprise Partner recognised by the Deloitte Fast50 as the 14th fastest growing technology company in the UK and ranked 76th in the Deloitte Fast500 EMEA. Grove served 1,300 companies and 351,871 users globally. They are currently focusing on supplying  the most advanced cybersecurity solutions in the marketplace today.

We were hired to develop and execute a social media, online PR and email marketing strategy. Grove Group’s challenge was to develop their social media profiles in the B2B sphere, to become noticed as industry leaders in the cloud computing industry and to promote the brand via the various online channels and publications. 

Results:

Social Media

Focused on developing and growing the brand via their Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn social media channels. Emphasis was places on developing a tone for the brand that was knowledgeable yet accessible aimed at educating the public about the cloud computing industry, Google Apps for Business and SaaS industry. 

Online PR

Developed a number of relationships with key online influencers and journalists from UK and SA publications. We focused on raising awareness for Grove and Google Executive Forums in the UK and SA in addition to developing cloud computing and Google Apps focused features.

Email Marketing

The primary goal of the email marketing programme was customer retention with the secondary goal being promotion of Grove Group’s news, services and events. We built up the email marketing programme from scratch by designing the monthly newsletter, compiling the newsletters with relevant content, deciding on relevant email client, broadcasting and tracking these monthly newsletters. 

Core objectives achieved:

- Positioned Grove Group as leader in cloud computing industry in SA

- Positioned client as key industry commentator on a range of cloud computing subjects

- Built up the brand in the UK via various online features

- Raised the profile of key spokespeople

- Positioned Grove Group as a fast growing and successful global organisation
